My name is Barbie Lauver.  This is my blog.

 

I have been happily married to the same wonderful man for over 36 years.  We met on a blind date in the San Francisco Bay Area (right out of a Danielle Steele novel.)  We struggled with infertility for the first 11 years of our marriage, and our journey to have children eventually introduced us into the worlds of IVFs and adoption.   

 

I spent the majority of my children's lives deeply involved in the autism and disability community where I have met many wonderful and supportive friends along the way who have kept me strong and positive.
